HEARTLESS
There is nothing that is without a heart
Every city has its heart
Evil though some may seem
though their eyes may gleam
with that small sliver of Nothing
Every man, woman,
Girl and boy,
We all have a heart.
A shred of conscience,
A bit of hope still left,
A smidge of guilt for past misdeeds.
None of us are bereft,
We all have a heart, you see.
So, no matter how evil we may seem,
Though we may be deemed
impersonal
All of heaven and earth has a heart.
It is what binds us all together.
